Özet:

One of the most significant social issues inherited from the past is migration, which remains relevant today and will persist as long as humanity faces crises such as famine, massacres, and wars. Diasporas, forming culturally and socio-economically homogeneous structures, create tensions in social integration and identity struggles while also offering strategic opportunities to their countries of origin. These opportunities, often facilitated by official institutions and NGOs, are referred to as lobbying activities. This study focuses on the digital lobbying activities of Turkish institutions in Germany, employing content analysis as a qualitative research method. It examines the 2024 web pages and social media posts of three institutions legally recognized by Turkey. Based on the Center-Periphery theory, a purposive sampling model was adopted, selecting the Turkish Embassy in Berlin, the Cologne Directorate of Religious Affairs, and the Frankfurt Turkish Federation. The findings confirm the initial hypotheses, revealing that these institutions lack professional lobbying capacity and struggle to leverage digital communication technologies effectively in their advocacy efforts.
