Özet:

This research aims to examine scientific publications on violence, abuse, and security concerning women and children through a bibliometric analysis of the Web of Science WoS database. A review of the existing literature reveals a lack of studies that conduct a bibliometric comparison of publications on violence, abuse, and security concerning women and children. Therefore, this study is unique in its comprehensive examination of the scientific literature on these topics. It holds significant importance as it sheds light on the temporal evolution of research in this field, the changes in academic interest over time, the role and trends of international collaboration, the themes researchers have focused on, and the key terms that have gained prominence. The findings indicate that studies on violence, abuse, and security concerning women and children could benefit from a broader perspective facilitated by international collaborations. Moreover, the research highlights that the three domainsviolence, abuse, and securityare interconnected and encompass complementary themes. While the scientific literature on violence and security concerning women and children has shown a notable increase over time, the publications focusing on abuse and security remain limited, representing a significant gap in the field. This study underscores the need for more research in these areas and emphasizes the importance of raising awareness among the public, academic communities, and policymakers. Researchers planning to conduct studies on these topics are particularly encouraged to focus on abuse and security, aiming to develop a more comprehensive understanding in terms of gender equality and childrens rights.
