Özet:

YouTube is an important part of new media. It offers its users the opportunity to share videos, watch videos, like and comment on these videos. In this research, comments written on technological product-themed videos on YouTube will be examined with a netnographic research approach, in line with the Diffusion of Innovations and Uses and Gratifications theories. In this study, one of the most popular home technology products of recent times, the airfryer, was examined. In the research, the codes of the theories themselves and the codes developed by the researchers in line with the theories were used. The following results were reached in the research: Users use this platform to obtain information. Users make YouTube a place to interact. There is parasocial interaction between YouTube users and YouTubers. YouTube users write negative comments as well as positive ones. In this way, they get satisfaction from criticizing others. YouTubers defend YouTubers against negative comments made towards YouTubers. In the process of adopting a technological innovation, individuals take into consideration factors such as product complexity, relative advantage, trialability, suitability and observability. Individuals find satisfaction when discovering a new technology and this discovery provides them with an inner pleasure. It has been revealed that airfryers are perceived as a new product but confusion about the product still continues.
