Özet:

The Modern Silk Road Project is a large-scale infrastructure and economic integration initiative developed under the leadership of China. The project is an initiative that emerged as an important part of Chinas foreign policy. This initiative includes a series of infrastructure projects covering a wide geography from North Korea to Africa and Europe. Kyrgyzstan is also part of the project. Kyrgyzstan is a country with a strategic location in Central Asia. Within the scope of the Modern Silk Road Project, Kyrgyzstan aims to establish stronger economic, trade, and infrastructure connections with China. Kyrgyzstans involvement in this project aims to provide benefits such as infrastructure development, participation in energy projects, and increased trade. In this study, information about the Modern Silk Road was provided first, and the project was discussed, especially within the framework of the energy issue. Then, Kyrgyzstans energy reserves, potentials, and policies were examined. The energy supplydemand situation of the Peoples Republic of China and the energy investments and collaborations it has made with Kyrgyzstan were examined, and the issue was evaluated within the scope of the Modern Silk Road. The project provides new opportunities both to China and the countries along the route. Some countries within the Silk Road economy hold strategic importance. Kyrgyzstan is one of the prominent countries. Considering the impact of the Modern Silk Road on continents and the trades of the economies located on the route, it is thought to provide significant gains to the countries and increase their potentials depending on the effectiveness of their economies.
