Özet:

Before mentions on any distinction about the effects of traditional structure or modernism in Iranian literature, it should be accepted that tradition has an active role in Persian literature in every period. Irans understanding of classical literature can be evaluated as the inclusion of tradition and root culture into literature. In particular, the topics covered, selected themes and linguistic uses in poetry, which forms the basis of Persian literature, are a reflection of a thousand-year-old traditional literary understanding. The works written from a modernist perspective cover a time period that can be dated to the tenth and eleventh centuries of Iranian literature, which can constitute almost the last link of its deep-rooted and ancient past. When we look at the use of language and the nature of the subjects, it is seen that modern literature, both poetry and prose, emerged in the nineteenth century and the first examples were given in this period. However, it is seen that especially the prose genre examples were written in line with the modernism movement, starting from the first quarter of the twentieth century. Reza Ferruhfâl, who is thought to be one of the representatives of the modernism movement in contemporary Iranian literature, in the field of short stories. In his fictional story of the same name, which was included in the Ah Istanbul short story collection he wrote in 1989, the modernization process in Iranian literature was written in a symbolic and allegorical narrative by representing it with story characters, and in this respect, tradition and modernity in Iranian literature were written for the reader to perceive. It is thought that the conflict was fictionalized with symbolic figures. In order for the study to present integrity and for the readers to be able to evaluate the paradigm in the research part with a holistic approach, in the introduction part, an effort was made to explain the concepts of modernization, modernity and modernism, and briefly information was given about how these concepts were shaped on a world scale, and then, the course of the trend towards modern literature in Iran is conveyed. Afterwards, Farrokhfals story style is analysed together with the themes in the deep structure of the story in question, the representations attributed to the story characters and the plot.
