Özet:

In this study, spatial distribution and analysis of natural hazard sources such as earthquake, landslide, avalanche, flood and rockfall in Bingol province have been conducted. In this context, areas with high disaster risk have been determined throughout the province using Geographic Information Systems GIS. Bingol is located in the area where the North Anatolian Fault and the East Anatolian Fault, which are among the most important structural elements in Türkiye, intersect. Due to its location, many natural events with disastrous effects occur in the province. In this study, the areas where natural eventshazards causing disasters are centered throughout the province, have been mapped using the data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency DEMP. According to the maps prepared, Sancak Basin and its surroundings, Peri Suyu Stream Valley and south of Kargapazari correspond to the areas with high earthquake intensity across the province. Apart from earthquakes, south and east of Mount Akcakara, Bingol Stream Valley, Adakli district, Hasbaglar and Yeldegirmeni have been determined as the areas where landslide density increases. Number of avalanches increases in the vicinity of Mount Akcakara, in Bingol Stream Basin, between Dallitepe and Oguldere, in the north of Mount Sulbus and in Peri Suyu Stream Valley. Areas where natural hazards are centered in Bingol are priority areas for disaster hazard mitigation studies, and along with disaster prevention, these studies should be initiated from these areas.
