Özet:

This research is designed to examine the postgraduate studies on sports federations published in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. In the research, a qualitative study was carried out to describe, interpret and develop suggestions in depth of the postgraduate theses prepared between the years 2011-2021 on sports federations. The themes used in the content table in the findings obtained as a result of the examination of 50 postgraduate theses that can be accessed; The number of theses, subject areas, distribution by years, data collection method, data collection tool, sample group and the theme studied were determined according to the education level for which they were prepared. The research was conducted using document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The "Article Classification Form" developed by Sözbilir, Kutu and Yaşar (2012) was used to analyze the theses published in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. The results of the research, 37 master's and 13 doctoral theses, 50 scientific studies in total, mostly belong to the master's level (74%) and the field of sports sciences (80%), as a method, more than half of the studies (52%) were quantitative. It is seen that only the scale/survey data collection methods are preferred in the vast majority (46%). It can be suggested that the number of studies that examine sports federations in detail and conducted at the doctoral level (26%) should increase, and that mixed methods (8%) should be more preferred and contribute to the field literature.
