Özet:

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between perceived psychological empowerment and happiness levels among occupational safety experts. The study was conducted in a relational descriptive type. Occupational safety specialists and technicians serving in different sectors in Istanbul constitute the population of the study. The number of valid surveys included in the research is 340. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Psychological Empowerment Scale, and Oxford Happiness Scale. The psychological empowerment scale has four subscales. These dimensions are defined as meaningfulness, competence, autonomy, and impact. There are three statements in each dimension. The happiness scale, on the other hand, is a single dimension. SPSS 25.0 program was used for data analysis. Low-level positive significant relationships were observed between happiness scores of occupational safety specialists and technicians participating in the survey and meaningfulness r0.27; p0.01, competence r0.23; p0.01, autonomy r0.182; p0.01, impact r0.129; p0.05, Psychological Empowerment Scale total scores r0.265; p0.01. It was observed that as psychological empowerment scores increase, happiness scores also increase. Meaningfulness, competence, autonomy, and impact together have a significant relationship with happiness R0.290; F4;3397.70; p000. Meaningfulness, competence, autonomy, and impact variables explain 8 of the variance in happiness.
