Özet:

Omar Khayyām, one of the famous figures of the Seljuk State period, known as a scientist and poet, created the Celāli Calendar at the request of Malik Shah by conducting observations with a committee headed by him. With this calendar, convenience and order were provided in many areas of life. Khayyām, who is also known as a poet, reflected the traces of the depth of the sky studies to his readers in his poems written in the rubāi genre. In his rubāi, celestial terms such as heaven, star, day, month, month, year, sun, etc. are abundant. In our study, Hayyām and his works will be explained and the extent to which his mind was preoccupied with the sky will be exemplified by the lines reflected in his rubās. In this context, the study tries to understand Hayyâms perception of the sky through his rubais.
