 In this study, detailed information about the synthesis and characterization of graphene, which has been able to change the direction of the industry around the world thanks to its superior properties since its discovery in recent years, and has therefore become a very interesting material, has been shared. Graphene, which is a two-dimensional form at the nanoscale in which carbon atoms are arranged hexagonally; when the cost-benefit, investment and time parameters are taken into consideration, it is synthesized by chemical vapor deposition method, which is the most suitable production method so far; many parameters such as growth temperature, substrate material, annealing time, pressure, quality of the gases used, and flow rates are effective. Graphene structure differs according to the combinations of these parameters. In this study, the details of synthesizing single-layer and multi-layer graphene were investigated. Raman Spectroscopy was used in the characterization of monolayer and multilayer graphene films. The structures of the films were checked by Scanning Electron Microscopy SEM. The necessary parameters for the producing and characterization of single-layer and multi-layer graphene film layers were determined.

 Bu çalışmada son yılların keşfedildiği zamandan itibaren üstün özellikleri sayesinde dünya çapında endüstrinin yönünü değiştirmeyi başaran ve bu sebeple oldukça ilgi çeken malzeme durumuna gelen grafenin sentezlenmesi ve karakterizasyonuna ait detaylı bilgiler paylaşılmıştır. Karbon atomlarının hekzagonal şekilde dizildiği nano ölçekte iki boyutlu bir formu olan grafenin; fayda-maliyet, yatırım ve zaman parametreleri ele alındığında şu ana kadar gerçekleştirilen en uygun üretim yöntemi olan kimyasal buhar biriktirme yöntemi ile sentezlenesinde; büyüme sıcaklığı, altlık malzeme, tavlama süresi, basınç, kullanılan gazların kalitesi ve akış miktarları gibi birçok parametre etkilidir. Bu parametrelerin kombinasyonlarına göre grafen yapısı farklılıklar göstermektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında tek katmanlı ve çok katmanlı grafen sentezlenmesinin detayları araştırılmıştır. Tek katmanlı ve çok katmanlı üretilen grafen filmlerin karakterizasyonunda Raman Spektroskopisi kullanılmıştır. Filmlerin yapı kontrolü Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu SEM ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tek katmanlı ve çok katmanlı grafen film tabakalarının üretimi ve karakterizasyonu için gerekli olan parametreler tespit edilmiştir.
