Özet:

Nowadays, human being, which is accepted as the most valuable capital of enterprises, is an entity with certain goals. They take steps to realise these goals in the business they work for, but sometimes they experience an unexpected conflict situation in the business. The most important reason for this is the psychological contracts that describe the expectations of the employee from the organisation apart from the employment contract. In particular, there may be expectations of career success for employees to gain a better position and reputation as a result of their self-development, and the expectation to spend time with their families outside of work and to protect the work-life balance. In line with this scope, this study was conducted to analyse the relationship between psychological contract, career success and work life balance. In the study, which was conducted over three municipalities in Istanbul with the survey method, which is one of the quantitative data methods, data were collected and analysed from a total of 377 municipality employees. According to the results of the study, while a positive relationship was found between psychological contract and career success, no significant relationship was found between psychological contract and work life balance. In addition, a positive relationship was found between work-life balance and career success.
