Özet:

Ahmad b. Muhammad-i Ghaffārī-i Qazvīnī d. 9751567, one of the historians of the period of the Safavid shah Shah Tahmasb I d. 9841576, is a very important writer in terms of the information he gives about the periods before and after him. Two known works of the author have survived to the present day. One of them is the work called Tarikh Jehan Ara or Nüsah-i Jehan Ara, which is also the subject of our study and means History that adorns the world. The sixth chapter of the fourth chapter of the work is devoted to the Seljuks and the history of the Seljuks is told in four parts. In the first part, information is given about the period starting from the emergence of the Seljuks and called the Great Seljuks and the Seljuks of Iraq today, in the second part about the Seljuks of Rum Anatolia, in the third part about the Syrian Seljuks, which the author calls the Seljuks of Damascus, and in the fourth part, about the Seljuks of Kirman. The subject of our study is the Rum Anatolian Seljuks, which are described in the second part of the work. In this section, the author did not go into too much detail and only narrated the important events of the Sultans period. In our study, based on the publication of the work by Hasan al-Narāqī, it was translated and annotated in order to contribute to the studies of the history of the Seljuks.

Safevî şahı I. Şah Tahmasbın ö. 9841576 dönemi tarihçilerinden olan Ahmed b. Muhammed-i Gaffârî-i Kazvînî ö. 9751567, kendinden önceki ve sonraki dönemler ile ilgili verdiği bilgiler açısından oldukça önemli bir yazardır. Müellifin bilinen iki eseri günümüze ulaşmıştır. Bunlardan birisi çalışmamızın da konusu olan ve Dünyayı süsleyen tarih mânasına gelen Târîh-i Cihân-ârâ veya Nüsah-i Cihân-ârâ adlı eserdir. Eserin dördüncü bâbının altıncı faslı Selçuklulara ayrılmış ve Selçuklular tarihi dört bölüm halinde anlatılmıştır. Birinci bölümde Selçukluların ortaya çıkışından başlayıp günümüzde Büyük Selçuklular ve Irak Selçukluları olarak isimlendirilen dönem hakkında, ikinci bölümde Rûm Anadolu Selçukluları hakkında, üçüncü bölümde müellifin Şam Selçukluları olarak isimlendirdiği Suriye Selçukluları ve dördüncü bölümde ise Kirman Selçukluları hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Çalışmamızın konusunu eserin ikinci bölümünde anlatılan Rûm Anadolu Selçukluları oluşturmaktadır. Müellif, bu bölümde çok fazla detaya inmeyerek sadece zikrettiği Sultanın dönemindeki önemli olayları nakletmiştir. Çalışmamızda eserin Hasan-ı Nerâkî tarafından yapılan neşri esas alınarak, Selçuklular tarihi çalışmalarına katkıda bulunulması açısından tercüme edilmiş ve notlandırılmıştır.
