Özet:

Objective: In this study, the effects of different paclobutrazol application times on the growth and quality of tomato seedlings were investigated. Material and Method: Climbo F1 tomato variety was used as plant material. In the study, 10 ppm paclobutrazol 250 gL application was considered at 3 different application times, namely the first, second and third true leaf period, and was compared with the control application where paclobutrazol was not applied. The experiment was established according to the randomized plot design with 3 replications. The effects of the applications on seedling height, stem diameter, leaf area, leaf chlorophyll content, seedling formation time, root length and seedling dry weights were investigated. Results: The quality parameters of the seedlings showed significant differences according to the paclobutrazol application times, and it was determined that the seedling height and leaf area increased as the paclobutrazol application time was delayed. According to the obtained results, it was determined that seedling height and leaf area increased as paclobutrazol application time increased. It was determined that leaf chlorophyll content and seedling formation time decreased significantly. The highest total seedling dry weight was determined with paclobutrazol application in the 2nd true leaf period. It was determined that the control application increased root length and root dry weight significantly. Conclusion: As a result, delaying the paclobutrazol application time may require increasing the application dose. This situation will increase seedling production costs and affect the adaptation and growth initiation processes of seedlings after planting.
