Özet:

The period of 1960-1971 is a process in which discussions of a new coup in Turkey were never lacking. Starting from 1961, Turkey began to be governed by the institutions created by the new constitution, after the 1961 elections, politics diversified and polyphony began to increase rapidly in the press. While the normalization of political life was expected, harsh rhetoric towards parties and newspapers, which were thought to be the continuation of the old Democratic Party (DP), left its place to threats and intimidation efforts since 1962. After the headquarters of the Justice Party (AP) was destroyed, it was tried to both intimidate them and to intimidate the public with similar views by publishing leaflets on newspapers known to be close to the former DP. While the source of these declarations, which clearly carried death threats, was not known and it was understood that the governments of the period did not show enough effort, the issue was tried to be kept on the agenda by the EP deputies in the National Assembly. With the declarations written in short and harsh expressions, the message was tried to be given that a new military intervention was a matter of time, and the names of their targets were asked to be pacified. While the source of the declarations, most of which were written against the DP-AP line, was not found and it was thought that the issue was closed after 1965, when the last declaration was published, Air Force Commander İrfan Tansel re-started the discussions with a statement. Tansel claimed that some tabii senators were behind the team that issued the most frequent and harshest statements and called itself the National Revolutionary Army. Upon Tansel's statement, an investigation was launched against the relevant senators. Although the targeted name, Mucip Ataklı and Tabii Senators, declared that they were targeted because they were the representatives of the May 27 movement, the senate lifted the immunity of the relevant senators and paved the way for the investigation, but the Constitutional Court made this action inappropriate. found it and canceled it. Thus, the coup debates ended with the declarations, but those who wanted to prepare the ground for a new coup by scaring the politicians, journalists and the public in a ten-year period were not exposed and remained behind the scenes.
