Özet:

Dede Korkut stories describe the struggles of the Oghuzs with Georgians, Abaza and Greeks in North-East Anatolia and Azerbaijan. Two of these stories deal with the struggles of the Oghuzs among themselves. The Story of Boğaç Khan, the Son of Dirse Han and The Story of the Outer Oghuz Rebelling against the Inner Oghuz and Beyrek Died tell the inner struggles of the Oghuzs. The first story brings the father and the son, the second story brings the two great Oghuz tribes face to face. The Story of the Outer Oghuz Rebelling against the Inner Oghuz and Beyrek Died is one of the most interesting stories of Dede Korkut narratives. The narrative is the last story of both the Dresden and Vatican manuscripts. The narrative is the only story in which two great Oghuz tribes Üçoklar-Bozok came face to face. In this study, The Story of the Outer Oguz Rebeling against the Inner Oghuz and Beyrek Died was analyzed according to the actantial model of Algirdas Julien Greimas, one of the founders and prominent representatives of semiotics. Despite the fact that the story has been the subject of a wide variety of studies, it has not been subjected to a semiotic examination. The story has a structure suitable for semiotic analysis. In the study, firstly, information about semiotics and its sources and the basic principles of Greimass actantial model are given. Afterwards, the story was evaluated according to the quintuple scheme developed with the contribution of semiotician such as J. M. Adam, A. J. Greimas and P. Larivaille, the actantial model created by Greimas, and the semiotic quadrilateral. According to this, the reason and results of the rebellion of the Outer Oghuz against the Inner Oghuz were interpreted. In the analysis, it was seen that the whole story was shaped around the Oghuz tradition. The Oghuz tradition is the main shaper of actions. In the story, the actions of the people who acted outside the Oghuz tradition started the actions. Those who acted against the tradition were punished respectively. However, Beyrek lost his life even though he did not abandon the Oghuz tradition. There is no action in the story that would cause Beyrek to be punished. The reason for this punishment is found in another Dede Korkut story in which Beyrek appears. New analysis models should be used in the interpretation of folklore products. Especially recent developments in linguistics provide important opportunities for re-reading texts. The use of the actantial model created by Greimas in the analysis of folklore products will allow new interpretations in making sense of the texts. This model, whose use is increasing day by day, also reveals the literary identityfictional structure of the narratives.
