Özet:

Structures that play a social role in Turkish culture and art history, as well as being functional and built as a product of the period style, have emerged. An important group among these structures is the village chambers. These structures are not only important in terms of folk architecture, but also have great cultural and artistic value. Most of the village chambers left to their fate today are doomed to disappear with the art they contain. For this reason, the number of examples where we can read the traces of the past, the understanding of art and culture is very few. In this study, an evaluation was made on the dating of the Ese Ünal village room, which we identified in the Aşağıkarahacılı Village of Yozgat Sorgun district, together with its architectural and artistic analysis. Today, after the building lost its functionality, it was abandoned to its fate, damaged and partially exposed to destruction. With this study, it is aimed to document this village room, which is a work of culture and art, visually and technically, to introduce it to the scientific community and to contribute to the survival of the building. As a result of the evaluation, it is thought that the village room may have been built between 1882-1910. Finally, the destroyed range, horse and coffee house part of the building was given as a plan and appearance with the restitution work. Despite the environmental effects, this building, which tries to keep the traces of the past alive, needs to be restored and transferred to future generations with the awareness of culture and art.
