Özet:

This study focuses on four statuette fragments consisting of a head, body, sculptural support and pedestal found in Sarıcaali neighborhood of Lüleburgaz district and preserved in Edirne Museum. In the ancient period, the ancient city of BerguleArcadiopolis was located in Lüleburgaz district. Since no comprehensive scientific research has been conducted, our knowledge about the city is quite limited. The four pieces that constitute the subject of the article were found close to each other, by the same person and in the same place. For this reason, it was tried to prove that the head and body fragments in the exhibition hall, as well as the pedestal and sculptural support preserved in the stone artifacts storage, belong to the same work. At the same time, a comprehensive iconography of Apollo Lykeios is presented and a completion is proposed to show that the statuette fragments are united. The fragments of the statuette in question have been assembled in the computer environment, and a completion proposal has been made for the missing parts, aiming to add a new line in the Apollo Lykeios Type to the scientific literature. The origin of the type in question is accepted as a bronze example from the 4th century BC. The origin of the numerous copies that have survived to the present day is usually traced to Praxiteles, the circle of his school, or his more immediate successors. Nevertheless, the statuette fragments were dated based on their stylistic characteristics and the fashion of the period. Although the contraposition of the arms and legs of the statuette and the S movement of the body reflect the Classical Period fashion, the schematic structure and workmanship in the body details exhibit workmanship characteristics suitable for the second half of the 1st century AD and the beginning of the 2nd century AD within the Roman Imperial Period.
