Özet:

Upon examining the literature, it has been observed that there is no original and culturally appropriate scale in our country to determine individuals levels of self-compassion. Therefore, this research aims to develop a scale that can be used to determine the self-compassion levels of adult individuals. The scale development process was followed in the methodology section of the research. A total of 477 adults participated in the study. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used in the data analysis, and the reliability coefficient was examined. As a result of the analysis, a scale consisting of four factors and 12 items was developed. This scale was found to be a suitable measurement tool for determining the self-compassion levels of adults. The lowest possible score on the scale is 12, and the highest possible score is 60. Additionally, as the score obtained from the scale increases, the level of self-compassion also increases.
