Özet:

Allah has created everything in the universe in a balanced way. The Holy Quran emphasises the importance of maintaining this balance and advises to avoid excesses. In the Quran, disturbances of balance and excesses are called fitna. Fitna is a polysemous concept and is generally used in the sense of testing. This diversity of meanings requires detailed studies for scholars to interpret fitna correctly. In this study, the verses in which the concept of fitna is mentioned are analysed in the context of al-Nasafīs d.7101310 famous work al-Nasafī Tafsir. In the aforementioned work, al-Nasafī did not explain the verses related to fitna in a short way so that they could not be understood or in a long way so as to cause distress, but followed a middle way. As in the whole work, he expressed the verses related to the concept of fitna in an easy, understandable and fluent style. While interpreting the verses, he analysed the words and gave examples related to the subject. He also expressed his own views by including different opinions about the verses. Al-Nasafī interpreted the concept of fitna in the verses generally in the sense of testing. In this study, in order to better understand the verses in the Quran in which the concept of fitna is mentioned, the concept of fitna has been tried to be explained in a comparative way by including the views of some scholars together with al-Nasafī on the verses.
