Özet:

Despite everything, nature continues to inspire art and science. However, we are in an era where there is no need to explore nature like in the Renaissance, or to attribute new meanings to nature like in the modernist era. While artists continue to enjoy the spectacle of nature, they choose nature as their subject with a completely different feeling, with the anxiety caused by its polluted, deteriorated and endangered image. Global environmental problems caused by unconscious production, consumption, technology and policies, especially the problems caused by the climate crisis, which have emerged in almost every geography since the early 1990s, are among the topics that contemporary artists address on a global scale. Contemporary artists do not remain indifferent to the problems experienced, but take responsibility as individuals who contribute to the solution of the problems. Artists who take global environmental problems seriously keep the great losses that nature, which is unconsciously destroyed for self-interested policies, creates for humanity on the agenda of society through art. Thanks to these efforts of artists, there has been an increasing interest of artists in environmental problems in the world. This article aims to ensure that environmental problems experienced in our country are kept on the agenda sufficiently. Drawing the attention of young artist candidates in the art community and those receiving art education to environmental problems is another important aim of this article.
