Özet:

It is a fact that the sects felt the need to verify their standpoints via Qur’an and the Sunnah, and to strengthen their views, they have tried to interpret Qur’an and Sunnah texts in the direction of their own perspectives. Its only natural for a sect to base its interpretation on Qur’an and Sunnah. The problematic point occurs when a sect regards its own interpretation as the absolute truth and starts to act like it owns the monopoly of truth. Thus, the sect’s interpretation starts to be taken as a religious principle and that particular sect labels other sects as “non-religious” by trying to make them seen as outside of Islam. Kharijite, Shia and Mu’tazilah are the foremost among the Islamic sects which interpret Quranic verses according to their own ends and acknowledge their interpretation as the “absolute truth”. Although not as extreme as these sects, scholars of the Ahl al-Sunnah also occasionally declare their own sectarian interpretations as the only measure of truth. Although Sunni scholars accepted other sects as Muslims and regarded them as brothers in theory, they practically opposed them. Many examples can be shown that the Ahl al-Sunnah categorized other sects with definitions such as “ahl-bidat “ or “ahl-dalalat” declaring it as a heretic and thus taking it out of the Islamic circle. In this article, examples from the views of the sects which accept their own forms of interpretation as the only measure of truth and substitute for religion will be presented and negative aspects of this attitude will be pointed out.

Ehl-i Sünnet’in, diğer mezhepleri “ehl-bid’at” veya “ehl-i dalâlet” gibi tanımlamalarla kategorize ettiği, sapkın ilan ederek tekfir ettiği ve böylece İslâm dairesinin dışına çıkardığı birçok örnek gösterilebilir. Bu makalede kendi yorum biçimlerini hakikatin tek ölçüsü kabul edip din yerine ikame eden mezheplerin görüşlerinden örnekler aktarılacak ve bu tutumun negatif yönlerine işaret edilecektir.
