Özet:

History of Religions, which emerged as a discipline in the West in the late 19th century, is a branch of science that analyzes religions by specifying place and time and frequently includes comparisons while making these analyses. People who work in this field are called historians of religion or historians of religions. Although History of Religions is closely related to many fields of social sciences, it is taught as a course in both Imam-Hatip High Schools and Faculties of Theology in Turkey. Turkish History of Religions Association was founded in Ankara in 1993 and later became a member of the European Association of Religious Studies EASR in 2004 and the International Association for the History of Religions IAHR in 2005, which is very important for the History of Religions studies in Turkey. made contributions. It was held in Ankara on 29-30 September 2023 under the leadership of the Turkish History of Religions Association, and a total of 96 papers were presented at the congress. The aim of this study is to reveal the academic landscape of the History of Religions discipline by evaluating the point it has reached in Turkey and the discussions around Religions Historiography within the framework of the opening speeches made at the Congress and the papers presented in the sessions. In this context, the future of the History of Religions in Turkey and some theoretical and methodological problems that will guide the History of Religions research will be identified. Finally, in order for the discipline of History of Religions in Turkey to have a better point in the future, Historians of Religions should study religion from outside and not advocate any religion by preserving the principle of orderliness of History of Religions as a science of religion, away from political, ethnic and religious ideological artificial debates in the field. It is extremely important. The contributions of History of Religions courses offered not only in the Faculties of Theology in higher education but also in postgraduate programs in the field of social sciences such as International Relations, History, Political Science, Law, Archeology and Anthropology to everyones general knowledge in terms of a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective on the History of Religions. We would like to thank Prof. Abdurrahman KÜÇÜK who is a leader in the establishment of the Turkish History of Religions Association, the institutions that contributed to the organization of the 1st Turkish History of Religions Congress and we commemorate our late Historians of Religions who have passed away.

I. Türkiye Dinler Tarihi Kongresi, Türkiye Dinler Tarihi Derneği öncülüğünde 29-30 Eylül 2023 tarihlerinde Ankarada düzenlenmiştir. Kongrede toplam 96 tebliğ sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı Dinler Tarihi disiplinin Türkiyede geldiği noktayı ele almak ve Dinler Tarihçisi üzerine yapılan tanımlamalar etrafında ortaya çıkan tartışmaları Kongrede yapılan açılış konuşmaları ve oturumlarda sunulan tebliğler çerçevesinde değerlendirerek Türkiyedeki Dinler Tarihi çalışmalarının akademik durumunu ortaya koymaktır. Aynı zamanda Türkiyede Dinler Tarihinin geleceği ve Dinler Tarihi araştırmalarına yön verecek bazı kuramsal ve metodolojik problemler tespit edilecektir.
