Özet:

This article tries to determine what function the walking action draws attention in Mehmet Âkif Ersoys Safahat is used in that poetry. A reader who reads Safahat part by part will realize that a movement in Âkifs poem and walking in this movement is a remarkable element. When the phase is read as a whole, the intensity of the walking action emerges more clearly. Mehmet Âkif, who loves to walk and walks a lot in his daily life, as we will see shortly, includes walking in the process of creating poetry while writing his poems. He uses the act of walking especially in narrative in verse. In a reading of Safahat centered on the act of walking, it is seen that walking is used a lot by Âkif. And in his poetry, the act of walking is used in three functions: 1 Âkif uses the act of walking in his narrative texts as an introduction to his poetry and with the same function at the beginning of different sections in his one-piece long poems. 2 Âkif mentions on different subjects in his long poems. While switching between different subjects, he inserts the walking topic or actually direktly walking into his poetry and uses the act of walking in this function. 3 In his poems, Âkif refers individuals, society, historical and political issues of his period, and individual pains with an intellectual view. The act of walking offers him an opportunity to observe on this topics and is used in this function in Âkifs poetry.
