Özet:

Autobiography is the story of a person’s life as written by that person covering the whole or some levels of his or her life. The writer, in his work titled “Fī Sabīl al-Majd” tried to tell his autobiography from the days that he spent with his grandfather and he studied at the Dar Al Uloom Nizamiyya School and later at the Islamic University of Niger. He had obtained the certificates of the Qur’anic recitation learning, secondary school, high school and Bachelor degree in Arabic Literature and Criticism. This creative work is one of the newly written autobiographies which have not been studied based on the researcher’s current knowledge. This paper aimed at analyzing the writer’s level of conformity to the theory of autobiography writing, in addition to the role he played in the uplift of the nation via inculcation of values. The study employed historical and descriptive methods. The historical method traced the origin of the literary development of the art and discussed the biography of the writer for its correlation with the work. The descriptive approach deals with an artistic analysis of the phenomena of idea, style, imagination, emotion and narrative techniques in the autobiography selected for study. The study concluded that the writer was excellent in applying those standards, such as improving his biography, simulating characters, judging his dialogues, and being creative in his techniques, taking into account the rules of the artistic features, critical devices and presentation technicalities adhering to those technical elements, except in some aspects that the researcher pointed out and corrected.
