Özet:

The language that poets and writes use in their works is the literary language. Therefore considering that the literary language used is used consciously and appropriately each word in the work has a different position. The words in question have a distinct value both in terms of semantics and morphology. These values need to be analyzedin terms of meaning. Any word used in the work can express more than one meaning that the poet creates in his own mental world. The difference in question can be revealed by analyzing the context of words or groups of words in the text. Mehmet Akif Ersoy is one of the poets who deeply feel the love of homeland and nation in his poems. The poets competence in using language both in his poems and in his prose is remarkable. The poet reflected not only İstanbul Turkish but also the Turkish used in Rumelia and Anatolia in his works. Although the poet has a good command of the language used by the people he has benefited from the richness of Turkish. In this study Mehmet Akif Ersoys poems containing national values were scanned. These values were determined and evaluated in terms of pragmatics. The analyzed words are grouped according to the titles of the poems and the frequency of use is given in the conclusion section.
