Özet:

Türkiye transitioned to a multi-party system with the 1946 elections. The Democratic Party, founded in 1946, came to power with the 1950 elections. The Democratic Party, which won the 1954 and 1957 elections, remained in power for ten years. Celal Bayar and members of the Democratic Party guided Turkey in the 1950s. The Democratic Partys rule ended with the May 27, 1960 Revolution. The May 27, 1960 Revolution caused Celal Bayar and former Democratic Party members, who were in power between 1950 and 1960, to be tried and punished. Celal Bayar and former Democratic Party members, who were sentenced to prison, came to the fore with their release and amnesty between 1961 and 1966. It was seen that there were many news about the release and amnesty of Celal Bayar and former Democratic Party members in the newspapers published between 1961 and 1966. Newspapers have more gave place to Celal Bayar in their pages because he was the former President. The fact that newspapers frequently mentioned Celal Bayar and former Democratic Party members has brought enactment of the amnesty law for Celal Bayar and Yassıada prisoners to the agenda. In this study, it was examined how the amnesty process of Celal Bayar and Yassıada prisoners was covered in the press. Within the scope of the study, five newspapers belonging to the years 1961-1966 were examined. In this study, where the document analysis method was used, periodicals, books, articles and electronic resources published between 1961-1966 were examined and presented in accordance with historical facts. Within the scope of the research, newspaper news was presented in chronological order. This article has been prepared to reveal the amnesty process of Celal Bayar and Yassıada prisoners.

Türkiye, 1946 seçimleriyle birlikte çok partili sisteme geçti. 1946 yılında kurulan Demokrat Parti 1950 seçimleriyle iktidara geldi. 1954 ve 1957 seçimlerini kazanan Demokrat Parti, on yıl iktidarda kaldı.
