Özet:

The concept of the city - state and the emergence of the
state have long been a subject of debate in the science world. However, the
only thing that is agreed upon here is that the first city-state formation
occurred in Mesopotamia. From
here, the historical depth of the Mesopotamia city phenomenon is still a matter
of debate, as well as the purpose of the
formation of cities and what is the driving force in the establishment of the
city has not yet been clarified. Although this subject was considered to be connected to the soil and
thus constituted the village settlements, which are the core core of the
cities, in parallel with the beginning of agricultural activities with little
doubt until the last years, the idea of establishing the city concept has
gained a different dimension especially after the discovery of Göbeklitepe. As a matter of fact, the new assumption is that the cities
formed around the temples based on religion.

Kent-Devlet
Kavramı ve devletin ortaya çıkışı meselesi uzun zamandan beri bilim dünyasında
tartışma konusudur.  Ancak burada mutabık
kalınan tek şey ilk kent-devlet oluşumunun Mezopotamya’da meydana geldiği
konusudur.
