Özet:

An examination of the theater literature reveals that the playwrights shed light on their periods by making the social issues of their time the subject of their plays. The theme of violence is frequently treated in Turkish theater and has been the subject of plays in different forms. Ebru Nihan Celkan, who started writing plays in the 2000s, incorporates the phenomenon of violence in all her plays. In her plays, violence presents perspectives on both its individual and social impacts. While the focus of Celkans plays is usually on the individual who is exposed to violence, the causal nature of violence also reveals its social aspect. In this article, which aims to analyze the different manifestations of violence in Celkans plays, firstly the phenomenon of violence is explained theoretically, and then the analyses of Celkans plays Kimsenin Ölmediği Bir Günün Ertesiydi, Nerde Kalmıştık and Evim! Güzel Evim! are included. The article begins by defining violence, categorizing its types, and then explores its psychological roots.
