Özet:

In Derrida, the most radical criticism of the logocentric unification and truth-grounding of Western metaphysics appears in the concepts of sovereignty and democracy. Derrida states that we should look at the completeness, indivisibility, and metaphysical violence of sovereignty, that we have reached a dead end with democracy, and that this end corresponds to autoimmunity. The rupture of sovereignty and democracy leads to the emergence of states that Derrida characterizes as rogue states. At this point, deconstruction is a critical threshold and a very fundamental indicator in the context of Derridas reckoning with concepts. This study examines the deconstruction of the ideas of sovereignty and democracy in Derrida. In doing so, the theological-political encounters with Schmitt and the autoimmune ruptures between the concepts will be revealed.
