Özet:

Türkiyes approved first seismic hazard map was published on July 12, 1945, with the title of Earthquake Zones map. Türkiye is divided into three as Major Damage Areas, Hazardous Earthquake Areas and Non-Hazardous Areas. This map has been changed six times in the following years due to the development of science and technology, and the increase in earthquake data and active fault identification studies. In the future, this change will continue for similar reasons. The aim of our study is to give brief information about the seismic hazard maps published in the Official Gazette in 1945, 1947, 1963, 1972, 1996 and 2018, starting from the first approved seismic hazard map 1945, and by revealing the effects of these maps on Ankara, to the official earthquake zone maps of Ankara, to determine its historical development. In addition, it is to reveal the information about how much area is covered by earthquake-hazardous places within the provincial borders of Ankara, how many people live in these regions, and what their percentage is.
