Özet:

One of the strongest demands for social change today is related to global climate change. Climate change is the most comprehensive, widespread and urgent environmental problem. In fact, the problem is so deep and urgent that it has begun to be addressed as a crisis. The transformation required to overcome the crisis requires a political and cultural axis shift shaped by climate justice. Contemporary art has a critical, questioning and probing structure by nature and is often political in this context. In this sense, artists have also voluntarily undertaken their part in this struggle, and the potential of art to raise awareness and tell stories about the ecological crisis we are in has been used. These artists, who take action with a sensitivity towards the deteriorating environment and put their artistic context into action beyond creating awareness in this sense, have caused the emergence of an eco-activist artist identity. In addition, in recent years, other actors of the art and culture industry, such as museums and organizations, have also sought ways to reduce their ecological footprints, while eco-activist collectives and organizations have emphasized the capacity of art to establish dialogues that will initiate transformation through their performances. This study examines the artistic production styles of artists on the subject, and investigates the roles that art, whose interaction with different disciplines produces positive results in every field, can play as a solution partner for the ecological crisis with its different actors.
