Özet:

Most of the historical and ethnographic descriptions of the 19th century devoted to the Circassians are based on the description of military traditions, military potential, and methods of conducting military operations. In this regard, there was an obvious disproportion in the studies of the Circassian culture, which was presented as exclusively warlike. There was even a theory of "raid economy" (M.M. Bliev), according to which the North Caucasian highlanders lacked basic food and were forced to get them through the organization of regular raids. Thus, the North Caucasian space was presented as something barbaric, at the stage of military democracy, as constituting something else.
