Özet:

The aim of this research is to determine the future dreams and current situations of Syrian children who have settled in Turkey under temporary protection through pictures. The study group of this qualitative research consists of 15 Syrian children 9 boys and 6 girls between the ages of 6 and 9. The data of the research were obtained from two different pictures drawn by the children, one depicting their greatest dream and the other showing where and with whom they live. According to the findings, in the pictures depicting their greatest dreams, the children mostly depicted basic needs such as country, occupation, house, and car. When comparing the drawings of their greatest dreams with the drawings of where and with whom they live, it was concluded that despite feeling unhappy and insecure, the children imagine living in environments where they feel hopeful and valued. This study highlights the need to see migration, dreams, and realities through the eyes of the youngest and most vulnerable participants, often overshadowed in the broader narrative of migration.
