Özet:

The aim of this study is to understand the effects of gender education on students. Gender Perception and Dating Violence Attitude scales were used. A total of 80 people, 41 in the experimental group and 39 in the control group, participated in the study. Independent Sample T Test and Pearson Correlation Test were applied. The relationship between gender perception and dating violence attitudes was found to be positive, moderate and significant. The experimental and control groups received pretest scores indicating that they were at similar starting points. When the mean differences between the pretest and posttest were examined, it was determined that the experimental group had a more positive effect on gender perception than the control group, but there was no significant difference in attitudes towards dating violence. The results show that gender education changes the perception of gender as it aims but does not directly change attitudes towards dating violence.
