Özet:

Salih Zeki Aktays works contain a mythological infrastructure that can be considered as the pattern of an identity fabric. The artists poetry style is similar to the Nevyunanism tendency that Yahya Kemal tried to develop in 1912 after returning from France. But in fact there is a completely different mythological tendency. In particular, he made the ancient Greek myths the main material of his poetry, sometimes as they existed and sometimes by adding some of his own interpretations to them; He tried to make the subject and object empathize. The artist has nine poetry books. All of these books contain universal human behaviors that attempt to reveal an interaction between the present and the past, woven with mythical symbols. He has three poems called Apple in the Legends section of his second poetry book, Asian Songs, published in 1933. Each of these poems are texts in which the artist makes a being the center of the text and describes a mythical imagination created around that text. In his first poem Apple, Salih Zeki tells the myth of creation, centered on the Torah and sometimes colored with figures from Greek mythology. In his second poem Apple, he focuses on the story of Prophet Joseph in an Islamic context. His third poem, Apple, is based on the adventure of Paris, the son of the Trojan king. However, the first two poems can be considered as religious parables rather than in a mythological context. The common object in all three poems is apple; fiction is built on it. In this study, it will be discussed to what extent the objects in the mentioned texts interpret the thoughts and feelings of the subject of the poem. Additionally, the mythopoethics universe of meaning materialized as symbolic figures will be examined.
