Özet:

Amasya Kızlar Palace has been the administrative center and also the residence of kings, sultans and princes since ancient times. Throughout history, it has been known by different names such as Kings Palace, Enderun Palace, Inner Palace, Lower Palace, Isfendiyar Palace. Two bath structures Little Bath and Great Bath survived from the palace, which is now known as the Kızlar Palace. The Great Bath has survived to the present day with its original structural elements well preserved. As there is no inscription about the bath, its construction date and owner are unknown. In this study, a detailed analysis of the Great Bath structure of the Kızlar Palace was performed. Comparison with the Ottoman and Seljuk baths, suggestions were listed.Great Bath consists of cold room dressing room, warm room, hot room, furnace and water tank sections. The main walls of the bath were built using roughcut stone, rubble stone and brick. When passing through openings such as domes, arches, windows and doors, bricks are predominantly seen. Baths built next to or adjacent to structures such as palaces, castles, caravanserais, lodges and mansions are classified as private baths. The Great Bath of the Kızlar Palace can be considered in the Cold Room, Warm Room and Private Room Type classification. The bath, which is currently idle, can be converted into a bath museum in the most appropriate way for its current function, due to the intense visitor movement in the Kızlar Palace.
