 The aim of the research is to determine the effect of Jigsaw II technique on students knowledge structures about the concepts of melting and dissolution. The research was carried out in a district of a metropolitan city in the Marmara region with the participation of 42 fourth grade students in the 2021-2022 academic year. Appropriate sampling method was used to determine the participants. The research was designed according to a one group pretest-posttest experimental method. The research data were obtained by applying the knowledge structure test before and after the education and training process in accordance with the Jigsaw II technique. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test T, McNemar Test and Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit Test X2 were used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, a significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students regarding the knowledge structures of the concepts of melting and dissolution. It was determined that the relevant difference was in favor of post-test scores. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to carry out experimental studies by increasing the number of groups related to other concepts in the science curriculum.

 Araştırmanın amacı, Jigsaw II tekniğinin öğrencilerin erime ve çözünme kavramlarına yönelik bilgi yapılarına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma Marmara bölgesinde yer alan bir büyükşehrin bir ilçesinde 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında dördüncü sınıfa devam eden 42 öğrencinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcıların belirlenmesinde uygun örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma tek grup ön test - son testli deneysel yönteme göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma verileri, bilgi yapısı testinin ön test ve son test olarak uygulanması ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi T, McNemar testi ve ki-kare uyum iyiliği testi X2 kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Jigsaw II tekniğinin uygulandığı öğrencilerin erime ve çözünme kavramlarına ait bilgi yapılarına ilişkin ön test ve son test puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Söz konusu farkın son test puanları lehine olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından hareketle grup sayısı arttırılarak, fen bilimleri öğretim programında yer alan diğer kavramlara ilişkin deneysel çalışmalar yapılması önerilmiştir.
