Özet:

Among the distinguished writers of contemporary Turkish and Crimean literature, Cengiz Dağcıs life began in the town of Gurzuf in Crimea and ended in London, England, where he spent his life longing for his homeland. While constructing his memories, the author also conveys the cultural experiences of the society to the future. The authors journey of search for his self appears before us with the aestheticization of the pain he experienced. Because when Dağcıs ability to make effective observations is combined with his unique humorous style and realistic perspective, original works emerge. The mental structure of the period and his own life play an active role in the authors work in a realistic technique and under the influence of romanticism. Indeed, although the authors works overlap with reality, they carry traces of imagination as they pass through the filter of language and turn into a text. In Dağcıs literary works, vivid, dramatic and tragic scenes predominate. His success lies in his sincere style. The humorous language choice of our author, who made it his mission to tell the tragedy he experienced, also has the quality of reacting to the events with a sharp intelligence, as it contains the universal problems of the society. The author imagines the Crimean geography he longs for in his imagination and wishes to reach there. Dağcı, who produces his original works with the desire to carry the cultural heritage left by Crimea to the future, does not approach the painful tragedy he experienced only ideologically, which adds aesthetic value to the novel. Dağcı, who uses the ironic function of language very effectively in his novel Üşüyen Sokak, is quite successful in ironizing the meanings that individuals attribute to external world objects and their internal world in social life. In this review, Üşüyen Sokak will be analyzed in terms of ironic language and its function in fiction.

Çağdaş Türk ve Kırım edebiyatının seçkin yazarları arasında yer alan Cengiz Dağcının yaşamı, Kırımın Gurzuf kasabasında başlar ve vatan hasretiyle geçirdiği İngilterenin Londra şehrinde sonlanır. Yazar, anılarını kurgularken toplumun kültürel yaşanmışlığını da geleceğe aktarır. Yazarın benliğine yaptığı arayış yolculuğu, yaşadığı acıların estetize edilmesiyle karşımıza çıkar. Zira Dağcıda görülen etkili gözlem yapabilme kabiliyeti, onun kendine has mizahi üslubuyla ve gerçekçi bakış açısıyla birleştiğinde özgün eserler meydana gelir.
