Özet:

Both cinema and psychology focus on human thought, emotions, behavior, and impulses. Just as the patient sees himself in the mirror held by the analyst, the white screen holds up a mirror for us. Zeki Demirkubuz uses psychologically complex characters in his films and character relationships based on psychological causality play a central role in his films. The characters are mostly nihilists, living on the border of social values, alienated from themselves and the society, independent of values, in search of, and inclined to crime. Although the division defense mechanism commonly used in borderline personality disorder is mainly related to the division of internal representations and therefore the self, it results in the division of external reality and experiences. In the films of Innocence and Destiny, the pure good and innocent aspects of the characters and the pure bad aspects of their destiny, which have transformed them, are separated from each other, but separately but together in the same life and in the same film. In this study, the borderline character of Zeki Demirkubuzs Innocence and Destiny films living in limbo is evaluated within the framework of psychoanalytic theory and clinical psychology literature.
