Özet:

Turkish Red Turkey Red is one of the most important terms that the Turks have contributed to world literature. It is a special dyeing method applied to cotton fabrics using root dye Rubia tinctorum L.. This color, which gained worldwide fame since the 16th century, is known for its secret recipes meticulously applied by master craftsmen. However, the exact method of this dyeing process remains shrouded in mystery, with written sources containing encrypted information, and no recipe has been able to achieve the original Turkish Red color. In 1746, this technique spread to Europe, and efforts were made to learn it through industrial espionage and secret methods. The recipe for dyeing has remained a secret known only to master dyers. After years of research and analysis, with the support of the Turkish Cultural Foundation, the real recipe for Turkish Red was rediscovered through investigations conducted in the Topkapi Palace Museum and the archives of the University of Glasgow. This recipe has been adapted for industrial dyeing applications in addition to traditional dyeing methods and has been presented to the Turkish textile industry.
