Özet:

This study brings role of effects into question as creative tools that provide reconstruction of reality and contributing factors to reality. In the study that revolves around usage of visual effects, fundamental spaces in the narration of TV Show Spartacus have been examined by using sampling methodology; tehcnic and reality aspects are the focus of the anaysis. On the basis of notion of space, environmental perception, spatial reality and effect techniques have been explained. Stating that locations used in the show are based on fractions of real locations from almost two thousand years ago, and created in a virtual space via necessary interface equipment, affects of technological advancement upon creating “real” images with the help of the computer technology has been proved.

USAGE OF VISUAL EFFECTS TO RECONSTRUCT THE REALITY:

BUILDING SPACE IN THE FRAME OF SPARTACUS TV SERIES

ABSTRACT

The role of effects, meaning that “contribute to a creative tool and an element of reality that allows reconstruction of the truth" is have an unchallengeable role in today’s communication world. Effects, are changes from special effects, visual effects techniques to sound effects. Technological development and digitalization of the image of this part of registration, transfer and creation on the results have importance in this field.

In this study, with its descriptive and constructive characteristic, most important environments of story arc of Spartacus TV series has been analyzed with technical, psychological and reality aspects using illustration method. Results section of the locations used in the TV series Spartacus, about two thousand years ago with the necessary interface equipment section of the living world again create a virtual environment of today technological advances of computer with in the framework of the "real" effects have been demonstrated in the creation of images.
