Özet:

Social work and social entrepreneurship are interrelated concepts. It has been observed that social entrepreneurship activities, which manifest themselves more in macro-oriented studies of social work, are not sufficiently addressed in the social work literature. In this context, this research, which aims to reveal the knowledge and antecedents of social workers about social entrepreneurship, was conducted using the relational survey method. The data of the study were collected from a total of 165 social workers by convenience sampling method. Data collection tools were Demographic Information Form and Turkish Adaptation of the Social Entrepreneurial Antecedents Scale SEAS by Akar 2020. Social workers social moral obligation scores were found to be high. This sub-dimension is a concept that describes the degree of feeling the responsibility to help people deprived of their basic social rights in a particular situation and corresponds to the ultimate goal of social work. In addition, according to the results of this study, the social entrepreneurship intentions and tendencies of social workers who have postgraduate education, work in the public sector and enjoy their profession are high. As a result of the study, suggestions for studies that can be conducted to increase social entrepreneurship intentions, tendencies and motivations of social workers are included.
