Özet:

In the study, the derived disaster response intelligence and the psychological capital hope and psychological resilience sub-dimensions of individuals and their effects on disaster leadership were examined. A total of 1319 people participated in the study, including 402 employees working in Turkish Red Crescent and 917 others. As a result of the research, it was determined that a derived type of intelligence such as disaster response intelligence can be mentioned and this type of intelligence consists of disaster preparedness and readiness intelligence and disaster team management intelligence sub-dimensions. Again, as a result of the study, it was determined that the concept of disaster leadership could be mentioned and that disaster leadership consisted of the sub-dimensions of fast and accurate decision making in disaster and disaster leadership characteristics. The results of the study show that disaster response intelligence and psychological capital predict disaster leadership. In addition, except for psychological resilience and psychological capital, it was found that the other variables examined differed between men and women, and except for these two dimensions, the other results were in favor of men. In the study, the levels of disaster response intelligence, psychological capital and disaster leadership of Turkish Red Crescent employees were found to be statistically significantly higher than those of employees working outside the Red Crescent organization. These findings reveal that the knowledge and skills of Red Crescent workers in the disaster response process, combined with their leadership skills, contribute positively to effective disaster management and leadership processes. In the last part of the study, suggestions for further research and applications are made and discussed within the framework of the findings obtained in the study.
