Özet:

During the Ilkhanid period, Eastern Christians Nestorians, Armenians, Syriacs interacted with the Turkish and Muslim people who made up the majority of the population in cities such as Maragha and Sultaniyeh, where Tabriz and Urmia were in interaction. This situation affected the scientific activities and understanding of art in the region. Eastern Christians benefited from the world of thought of Ilkhanid scholars both in the sciences related to the Bible, in the writing of the Bible and in worldly sciences. It is possible to say that the miniature art developed especially in Tabriz and Urmia influenced Armenians in terms of Bible depictions and decorations. The Armenians in Tabriz and its surroundings around advanced also in alchemy, which enabled them to be active in jewelry and handicrafts like the Syriacs. In addition, Syriac churches in the region served as a religious framework for Syriac scholars working on sciences such as astronomy, medicine and history. Nestorians, the third most important branch of Eastern Christianity after Syriacs and Armenians. Differ from the other two Christian communities about their view of Jesus. Nestorianism, which is not an ethnic but a sectarian identity, was preserved by the Ilkhanate especially during the reigns of Hulagu Khan and Abaka Khan. Nestorians progressed in historiography with the influence of Ilkhanid support. The Nestorians in Tabriz and its surroundings were greatly influenced by the Syriacs.
