Özet:

By focusing on the social aspects of tourism activities, studies that examine individuals travel motivations can contribute to understanding tourist behavior by providing answers to questions regarding the reason for participation in tourism activities. In addition, these studies can reveal outputs for all stakeholders of the tourism sector, especially the representatives of the sector in the region that receives tourists. On the other hand, it is noteworthy that there are a lot of studies on travel motivation, especially in the last 10 years. For this reason, it is important to bring together researches that have been presented in a certain period of time in order to both approach the subject in a holistic way and to facilitate the people who will do research on the subject. From this point of view, in the study, recent studies on the travel motivations of tourists participating in tourism activities in Türkiye have been examined within the scope of bibliometric analysis. When different research outputs on travel motivation were examined in the study,it was understood that there are differences in travel motivation depending on the type of tourism that tourists participate in or whether they are local and foreign. As a result, it is thought that the information obtained will benefit tourist productservice developers and researchers who want to work on this subject.
