Özet:

Six out of twelve persons who took the title of President in Turkish political life were ex-military officers. This situation indicates the interest of military personnel in politics. Throughout the history of the Republic, the conflict between soldiers and politicians has caused five coup attempts and four e-memorandums. In this study, as an example of intervention to the parliamentary system, Staff Colonel Talat Aydemir who failed coup attempts in 1962 and 1963 alleging the countrys polity and the economic crisis in the country, is examined. We tried to analyze these events starting from the 1960 coup, which Aydemir saw as the main problem of the coups. There are research and examination works and memoirs related to our subject among the sources of our study.
