Özet:

When we say disaster, we generally mean earthquake, landslide, flood, etc. Natural events come to mind. Disasters caused by natural events can cause many human deaths, injuries and property losses. However, disasters occur due to some natural events as well as human-induced factors and can damage many areas within the borders of the country, especially the environment, housing, agriculture and transportation. One of the most important examples of human-induced disasters occurred in recent history due to the civil war in Syria, which is close to Turkey and borders it. Mass migration movements show that human-made disasters may also occur. This study mainly focuses on the conceptual framework of disaster management and proposes solutions by addressing the housing problem of Syrian refugees, which we encounter as an important concrete example of human-induced disasters.
