Özet:

Today, the fact that health is considered at the level of the individuals behavior has led to the expansion of the concepts boundaries to cover almost all practices of daily life. Healthy life is presented as a prerequisite for being healthy. Being healthy has gained a new meaning, going beyond the concept of feeling good the absence of disease and infirmity and pointing to a situation that is the responsibility of the individual and shaped by his or her choices. On the one hand, while the boundaries of the concept of health are expanding and, accordingly, new specialties are being added to the existing ones. On the one hand, while the boundaries of the concept of health are expanding and new areas of expertise are added to the existing ones, on the other hand, individuals are expected to take responsibility for their own health. This approach to health prevents the questioning of its social, cultural, political and economic dimensions. The study aims to, reveal how the new discourse of healthy living, which is thought to have an ideological function, is normalized by the discourses of experts in television programs. In the study, which used the purposive sampling method, the program A New Day with Çağla, which is broadcast on Fox TV, was selected because it offers a rich scope on the subject. The discourses of the experts who participated in the program within the determined date range during the analysis process were analyzed using a qualitative method. As a result of the study, it was observed that although the guests appearing in the program had different expertise, they made suggestions that covered many areas of everyday life and had similar content. These suggestions, which can be described as a donot do list, are defined as responsibilities that the individual must fulfill. Another remarkable finding of the study was that many experts also provided information on topics other than their own fields. These suggestions are introduced into public discourse by presenting them as a prerequisite for health. This change in the way health is dealth with and the individual-oriented healthy living discourse is normalised by expert discourses.
