Özet:

Conventional city models have usually focused on providing basic services such as water, energy, transportation and security. However, challenges of the time facing cities clearly reveal the limits of this approach. Now, not only meeting basic needs in cities, but also livability, environmental sustainability and technological innovations comes to the forefront. Today, technological developments ensure cities to transform in terms of sustainability, efficiency and livability. Technoparks, which are very effective in integrating technology and city life, are significant centers that enable the transfer of todays technologies to city life. In this context, technoparks are significant innovation centers that allow the birth, development and testing of new technologies. In this study, it is revealed how technologies developed in a technopark can be integrated into smart city projects and improve city life. For this purpose, the Technopark Esenler Project, planned as a Technology Development Zone, and the Esenler Smart City Project were examined in detail as sample applications and it was explained how the technologies developed in technoparks could be transferred to city life. In addition, the effects of the Technopark Esenler Project, planned as a Technology Development Zone, on the Esenler Smart City Project were evaluated in the study.
