Özet:

Purpose: The main purpose of this research is to examine the articles and reports published in the national literature on recreational activities in Kastamonu province in Turkish within the framework of certain parameters. Methodology: In the research, articles and reports on nature-based recreational activities in Kastamonu province, which were included in Google Scholar until June 2024, were examined with bibliometric analysis. The data were obtained from studies that included the words Kastamonu, recreation, and recreational activities in the title, keyword, and abstract sections. In order to determine whether the studies were relevant to the subject, the abstract, method, findings, and conclusion sections were read. Some parameters were determined in order to conduct bibliometric analysis on the subject. These are; the type of the study, the year it was published, the number of authors, the journalproceedings book it was published in, the publication area of the journal, the keywords used, the types of tourism discussed in the study, the research method used in the study, the purpose of the study, and the destination discussed. The obtained data were loaded into the statistical analysis program and frequency and percentage analysis was performed. Findings: As a result of the research, a total of 26 studies were reached, 22 articles and 4 reports published between 2005-2024, and it was determined that the studies on the subject have increased since 2016. In the studies, the whole of Kastamonu was addressed, as well as studies on a region in Kastamonu. Ilgaz Mountain National Park is included in a significant part of the studies addressing a specific region. The most frequently mentioned tourism types in the studies are eco-tourism and winter tourism. Discussion: Kastamonu province has a great potential in terms of recreational activities with its nature and geographical structure. As a result of the bibliometric analysis, it will be possible to intensify studies on these regions by identifying less focused regions, recreational activities and tourism types. On the other hand, this study is expected to provide a general overview of the literature on the subject and create insights for future research.
